Frequently asked

Common questions.

How do I get into the TestFlight beta?

Email support@ridr.net and we'll send you a TestFlight invite. We're rolling out gradually with small groups of riders before App Store launch.

Does RIDR work with non-Harley bikes?

Yes. RIDR works with any brand — Harley, Triumph, Honda, Yamaha, BMW, Indian, Ducati, anything. The garage shipped with built-in specs for the most common Harley and Triumph models, but you can add any bike manually with its specs, oil capacity, tire sizes, and service intervals.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in your own private iCloud account. RIDR uses Apple's CloudKit, which means your service history, receipts, ride logs, and bike info all sync between your devices through Apple's encrypted infrastructure.

We never see your data. We don't have servers. There's no RIDR account to create. Read the privacy policy for details.

Does it sync between my iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch?

Yes — as long as all devices are signed into the same Apple ID. Apple's iCloud handles the sync automatically. Your service records, ride logs, and bike data show up on all your devices.

What if I lose my phone?

Your data is safe in your iCloud. Sign into your Apple ID on your new device, install RIDR, and your garage will sync back automatically.

Do I need an internet connection to use RIDR?

Mostly no. RIDR is local-first — you can log services, view your records, scan receipts, and track rides without a connection. Sync to your other devices happens when you're back online.

Does receipt scanning work offline?

Yes. The OCR engine that reads your receipts runs locally on your iPhone — no internet needed, nothing sent to a server. Apple's Vision framework does the heavy lifting. Receipts stay private.

What receipts work best with scanning?

Dealer printed receipts (Harley-Davidson, parts counters, independent shops) work great. The OCR captures the date, vendor, total, and individual line items with part numbers and prices.

Gas station, handwritten, or thermal-printed receipts that have faded may not parse fully — but you can still capture the photo and edit the fields manually. Every field is editable.

Can I export my data?

Data export is on the roadmap and coming in a future release. We're working on PDF export for service records and a full data export option. Email us if you have specific export needs and we'll keep them in mind as we build it.

How much will RIDR cost when it launches?

Pricing is still being finalized. RIDR is free during the TestFlight beta. We'll announce the pricing model before App Store launch — and beta testers will get the first heads-up.

How do refunds work?

Once RIDR is on the App Store, refunds will be handled through Apple per their standard refund policy. You can request a refund through your Apple ID purchase history. We don't process payments ourselves, so refunds go through Apple's process.

If you're in the beta and have an issue, email us and we'll work it out.

Does RIDR collect analytics or send my data anywhere?

No. RIDR has zero third-party analytics, zero tracking SDKs, zero ads, zero data sales. Your data stays in your iCloud. We can't see it because we don't have servers receiving it.

I found a bug or have a feature idea — where do I send it?

Email support@ridr.net. A real person — me — reads every email. RIDR is built by one rider for other riders. Feature ideas from beta users have already shaped the app and will keep doing so.

What iPhone do I need?

RIDR requires iOS 17 or later. Works on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Receipt scanning works best on iPhones with a recent camera.

Is RIDR safe to use while riding?

RIDR is meant to be used before and after rides, not while operating the motorcycle. The Apple Watch app supports start/stop and basic stats viewing — designed for quick glances at a stop, not while riding.

Never operate your phone or interact with the app while riding. Pull over safely first. Always ride within the law and your own ability.
