Terms of Service
The short version: RIDR is a maintenance log for motorcycles. By using it, you agree to use it responsibly — including never operating it while riding. It's provided "as-is," your data stays in your iCloud, and disputes are governed by Georgia law. We've tried to write this in plain language. The full terms are below.
1. Acceptance of these terms
Welcome to RIDR. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and WJS Enterprises, LLC ("RIDR," "we," "us," "our"), a Georgia limited liability company.
By downloading, installing, or using the RIDR mobile application (the "App") on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use RIDR.
2. Who can use RIDR
You must be at least 17 years old to use RIDR. The App is rated 17+ on the App Store. If you are between 17 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
3. License to use RIDR
Subject to your agreement to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
- Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the App or any part of it
- Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code
- Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
- Use the App in a way that violates Apple's App Store terms or any applicable laws
- Use the App to interfere with or harm any third party
4. Motorcycle safety — important
RIDR is a logging and reference tool. It is not a substitute for safe riding, proper maintenance practices, or your judgment.
Do not operate the App while operating a motorcycle. Pull over safely first. The App is intended to be used before and after rides — not during them.
You agree that:
- You will not interact with the App, your iPhone, or any device running RIDR while you are actively riding a motorcycle.
- You are solely responsible for safe operation of your motorcycle at all times.
- You will follow all applicable traffic laws, wear appropriate safety gear, and ride within your skill and experience level.
- Maintenance schedules, intervals, and recommendations within RIDR are general references — they may not reflect your specific motorcycle's manufacturer requirements. You are responsible for following manufacturer guidance and consulting qualified professionals for safety-critical service.
5. Your data and content
All data you create in RIDR — including service records, ride logs, receipts, photos, and bike information — belongs to you. RIDR stores this data in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We do not have access to your data and we do not store it on our servers. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
You retain all rights to your content. You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of any information you enter into the App.
6. The TestFlight beta
RIDR is currently distributed through Apple's TestFlight beta program. As a beta tester, you understand and agree that:
- The App is pre-release software and may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features.
- Beta builds may be unstable. Features may change, be removed, or work differently in the final release.
- We may collect feedback you voluntarily provide through TestFlight or by email.
- You agree to Apple's TestFlight terms when installing beta builds through TestFlight.
- The beta version may stop functioning at any time, including when the final App Store version is released.
7. App Store and payments
RIDR is distributed exclusively through Apple's App Store. Once RIDR is generally available for purchase or subscription:
- Apple is the merchant of record. We do not process payments.
- Subscriptions, purchases, and refunds are governed by Apple's standard terms and policies for the App Store.
- You can request refunds through Apple per their refund process; we do not handle refunds directly.
- Apple's terms (the App Store Terms of Service and the standard Apple licensed application end user license agreement) apply to your use of the App.
8. Updates and changes to the App
We may release updates, new features, bug fixes, or changes to RIDR over time. These updates are delivered through the App Store. Some updates may add or change features, and some may remove features. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes through the App or by email.
We may also discontinue RIDR or specific features at any time. If we do, we will make reasonable efforts to give you notice and let you export your data before any feature is shut down.
9. Intellectual property
The RIDR name, logo, and App are owned by WJS Enterprises, LLC and are protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use the RIDR name, logo, or branding without our prior written permission.
Third-party trademarks (e.g., "Harley-Davidson," "Triumph," etc.) are owned by their respective owners. RIDR is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any motorcycle manufacturer.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WJS ENTERPRISES, LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information within the App, including maintenance schedules, service intervals, OCR-extracted receipt data, or GPS information.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WJS ENTERPRISES, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF USE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
In particular, we are not liable for:
- Any damage to your motorcycle, vehicle, or property arising from your reliance on maintenance schedules, intervals, or service information within the App.
- Any injury, accident, or harm arising from your operation of a motorcycle, whether or not you were using or relying on the App.
- Any loss, corruption, or unavailability of your data, including data stored in your iCloud.
- Any failure of receipt OCR, GPS tracking, notifications, or other features to function as expected.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages, so portions of these limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WJS Enterprises, LLC, its officers, members, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using RIDR at any time by deleting the App from your device. Your data in your iCloud is yours and remains under your control regardless.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the App that is not resolved through good-faith discussion shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Georgia. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
15. Apple-specific terms
You acknowledge and agree that these Terms are between you and WJS Enterprises, LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.
In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App (if any) to you. Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes were made. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the App or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WJS Enterprises, LLC regarding the App. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
